PRIVACY POLICY

Here you will find a summary of how the company Eira s.r.o., registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 132173, with its registered office at Sadová 343, 675 71 Náměšt‘ nad Oslavou, Business ID.: 179 34 265, VAT ID: CZ 179 34 265, processes personal data, including the main principles of protection of your personal data and what rights it guarantees to data subjects in relation to the protection of personal data.

1. What is GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), fully known as Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), is a European Union regulation aimed at significantly increasing the protection of citizens‘ personal data. The Regulation entered into force on 25 May 2018. The processing of personal data by Eira s.r.o. is governed by the GDPR as well as Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data.

2. Controller (who processes your data)

The controller is the company Eira s.r.o., registered in the Commercial Register kept at the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 132173, with registered office at Sadová 343, 675 71 Náměšt‘ nad Oslavou, Business ID: 179 34 265, VAT ID: CZ 179 34 265. These data will be processed by the Controller under the conditions set out in the legislation and in accordance with this policy.

3. What personal data we process about you

We only process personal data that you provide to us in connection with the use of our services (in particular the organisation of professional conferences, conference registration, conference attendance, negotiation of a partnership agreement, etc.). This includes the name, address and contact details you provide to us when ordering our services.
Please note that if you register to attend conferences organised by us, which constitutes the establishment of a contractual relationship, we are entitled to send you commercial communications about us and our services. You have the option to unsubscribe from these commercial communications at any time via any commercial communication email sent to you, or by contacting us at our company email address listed below.

4. Purpose of processing and legal grounds for processing personal data

We process your personal data mainly for the following reasons:

– to provide you with the services you have expressed an interest in,
– to improve the quality of our services and, where appropriate, to add new services that you have expressed an interest in.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is thus a contract or legitimate interest. In some cases, we process personal data if we are required to do so by law.

5. How long we process your data

We will process your data for the duration of your use of our services or the duration of the contractual relationship between us and thereafter for the period necessary to exercise the rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship and to assert claims arising from these contractual relationships, i.e. until any claims are time-barred or any disputes are concluded. Personal data collected on the basis of your consent will be archived for a period of 5 years, unless your consent to the processing of personal data is withdrawn. We are required by law to retain your billing data for at least 5 years. After the retention period has expired, the data controller will delete the personal data.

6. Security of your personal data

Any personal information you provide to us is secured by standard procedures and technologies. We regularly review our system and use security measures that, where possible, prevent unauthorised access to your personal data and which provide sufficient security in light of the current state of technology.

7. Your rights in relation to the protection of personal data

In particular, we provide you as a data subject with the following rights in the protection and processing of personal data:

– Data subjects have the right to access their personal data. They also have the right to have their personal data rectified and/or completed or deleted, to portability, or to request restriction of the processing of their personal data, as well as the right not to be subject to automated individualised decision-making (including profiling).

– Data subjects have the right to object to the processing of their personal data.

– Data subjects have the right to data portability in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

– Data subjects are entitled to withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time. To withdraw consent, the controller recommends using the following contact email: valkova@eiraevents.cz.

– Data subjects are entitled to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz), located at Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, email posta@uoou.cz, Data box qkbaa2n.

8. Information about cookies

The controller uses cookies or similar technologies in the operation of its website. Cookies are small content files that are used to store and receive identifiers and other information about users‘ devices from which they access the controller’s website. The controller uses basic (essential) technical, analytical and marketing cookies. Technical cookies assist in viewing the website and, where appropriate, registering for the controller’s services. Analytical cookies are used by the controller to analyse data in order to improve the functioning of the controller’s services. Marketing cookies are used to track the preferences of website users in order to target advertising. Analytical and marketing cookies are used by the controller in cooperation with third-party tools and are used only with the prior consent of users.

The user is entitled to refuse the use of cookies in the settings of his/her internet browser, or to set the use of only certain cookies (there is a special tool for managing cookies on the controller’s website).

9. Processors

If the Controller uses processors for its activities, it undertakes to entrust them with the same protection of personal data as it guarantees to data subjects under this policy.
